Creative designers love the freedom and flexibility screen printed beer bottles and screened on pint glass labels afford. You don’t have to be a good little boy or girl, stay in the box, and don’t scribble outside the lines. Let er’ rip! Have some fun! Get the message out! Screen-print those beauties!
You’ve got options with our premium (sounds nice doesn’t it) screen printing methods that come in several different flavors, so to speak.
Applied Color Labels: ACL
You went to a ton of trouble to create the perfect brew. Now you want to sell more of it. If your customer would just give it a shot, we all know they would fall in love. Let us make your hard work stand out with an Applied Color Label.
An ACL label is an awesome alternative to paper labels, pressure sensitive labels, or just handwriting your name on a keg. It accomplishes the goal of having your customer say, “WOW! That looks cool!” Then reaching out their hand to grab one (just to take a look) and figuring they might as well give it a try. In fact, they’ll probably want to keep the bottle . . . it has happened before!
An applied color label has also been called Applied Ceramic Label. Get it? “Ceramic” Decorating Company? Now you know why we have such a strange name. We’ve been doing this longer than anyone on the west coast by 4 or 5 decades, and that’s what it was called way back then.
Both terms refer to a screen printed label directly printed on glass (12 oz. beer bottles, 22 oz. beer bottles, pints, growlers, beer glasses, barware, etc.) with colors/pigments that are mixed in ground up glass (a.k.a. “fit”). Then, the freshly colored bottle is fired at a very high temperature . . . like 1200 degrees Fahrenheit! Don’t touch it!
This priceless look and automatically sets you apart from the masses. Who wants to be associated with them anyway?
We can take your current design and show you a wham-bam-bang-up job of how it would look in an Applied Color Label with our Masterpiece Creation Process. All you have to do is ask.
So maybe you are committed to your paper label look at the moment (we really don’t hold that against you). Why don’t you let us print up some seasonal or specialty beers? Maybe a few pint glasses for some exciting upcoming event? Not saying you have to . . . just would be a lot more fun than us sitting here . . . waiting . . . doing nothing? (Jk. Ceramic Team Members never just do nothing.)
UV Screen Printed Bottles
Appling UV inks (inks that cure under UV light, instead of high temperature ovens) directly to glass can give an amazing look while treading incredibly lite on the planet. These colors are printed on beer bottles, pints, growlers, and barware using completely heavy-metal free colors (meaning they don’t listen to hard rock music?) For all us California greenies, that means Prop 65 happy! Yes, you can now drink the beer, eat the bottle and the label. The glass may give you grief but the label . . . well, it is organic so to speak! To top it off, the color palette is amazing! The only thing we have trouble printing in this medium is precious metals, which are better used as jewelry or investments these days anyway.
Sometimes your artwork is so amazing that screen printing is not an option. Is your artwork multi-colored, tricky or complex in design (like a photograph)? If so, a hand-applied, high-fire decal just may be your ticket. Decals are screen printed directly to paper instead of to your pint glass or growler. The paper is then placed in H20 which frees the color from its paper bondage and allows it to slide across the glass surface where it is squeegee applied and fired through the same ovens we fire our ACL bottles through. The end result is beautimus! (Don’t look that up.) Just trust us. It is!
Don’t know what’s right for you? No worries! That’s our job. Give us a call, a quick chat, a look at your artwork, and we’ll know in a heartbeat what is best! Hey, hey, no need to thank us. We love this stuff!
